Honda Unveils the New VFR1200 Motorcycle for 2010
The bike has an all-new engine, which has some clever packaging. The rear cylinder bank on the V-four motor is made up of the two inner cylinders, making it narrower than the front b More..ank, which houses the two outer cylinders. This allows the rider to sit further forward, straddling the back of the engine with their knees. The motor itself is a 1,237cc 76° V-four design, with 12:1 compression ratio, 16 valves, and three cams. The rear head uses a space-saving SOHC design borrowed from the firm's offroad machinery. Final drive is by shaft, with six gears and a slipper clutch.
